Small business with Big ambitions
We fell in love with Linen the very first time we had the opportunity to touch it. The incredible natural smell and raw but yet, very soft texture. There was an instant connection, a connection that we now want to share with you. Our love for nature turned into a strong desire to connect it with an everyday living. This is when AVLEN Linen Home Living was born.
First we’ve started small, just a couple of home-ware accessories but then our creative minds started to run wild. We have realised that most things surrounding us are made out of fabric and so we have started to create whatever we could using a selection of natural Linens. We then took the idea a step further and used linen as a substitute material for plastic and paper. Our biggest aim now, is to show the world that linen can be a beautiful, sustainable and super durable alternative material that not only respects the environment, but also helps to reduce fast fashion.
With all that in mind we can now proudly say, that we are a Mother & Daughter, Kent based business with strong passion for beautiful natural products who value their customers and offer very personal experience. Experience where our clients can admire our ready-made products but also can work with us to produce bespoke products that will be unique to them. With a creative mind, the ideas are endless.
We will use your vision and handcraft it into a beautiful one-off product.
Our excitement for natural products is reflected in our work which not only looks stylish but also serves a purpose. Contributing to saving our planet is very important and with our range of products like linen shopper bags, linen bread baskets and many more, you can be a part of it too! Each product is handmade to order and can take a little longer than any other big brand out there, however this way we are generating a lot less waste.
We hope that your experience with us will become a beautiful story that will be shared among your family and friends.

OUR ETHOS & VALUES
We pride ourselves in high quality craftsmanship with each and every product we create which is handmade and hand finished. All our materials are carefully sourced to ensure quality and sustainability. We do not generate any waste in our production process, all remnant fabrics are reused throughout our product range even those tiny off cuts, which are kept and reused in bespoke art works. We intend on working only with 100% linen fabrics however we occasionally use 100% cotton fabrics to enhance product performance and aesthetics where needed. We are on our way to become as eco-friendly as we possibly can and while we can pride ourselves in using finest pure natural fabrics, presence of polyester wadding can only be found in our quilted and padded products. All our packaging is recyclable and we are exploring best alternatives to be able to become a zero waste business in the meantime.
We are constantly improving by working closely with customer’s feedback and ensuring that our business provides the best experience our customer can get.
Key importance in our bespoke services is: understanding customer’s needs and expectations, communication and satisfaction upon delivery but what is also truly important to us is high quality, sustainability, customer satisfaction and to make a difference.

High Quality - Sustainability - Customer Satisfaction

ABOUT LINEN & LINEN CARE
Linen is a sustainable material, made from the fibers of the flax plant. It is fast-growing and requires minimal water and resources. Linen does not stress easily and it has been said it is two to three times stronger than any other natural fiber. With its long lasting durability; it is respectful to the environment.
Products made from linen are valued for their exceptional coolness and freshness in hot and humid conditions. On hot days, they create a cooling effect while during cold weather; linen preserves heat and allows body to warm up quicker.
Linen is highly absorbent and fast-drying, even more so than cotton.
It is naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial and hypoallergenic creating a healthier living.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
To keep your linen products looking their best, and to make them last for many years to come, follow our care instructions which are applicable to all of our linen products unless stated otherwise on the individual product page.
WASHING YOUR LINEN
Ironically as strong as Linen may sound, it does need a gentle care. Machine wash gently on a cool wash at 40°C and do not use any fabric conditioner, bleach or any other strong detergents. If your linen product is quite large, it is advisable to hand wash it as washing machine overload can create visible and stubborn crease lines. Linen will soften with each wash and become even more soft and natural looking, however some fading and minor shrinkage may occur.
DRYING YOUR LINEN
For best results, we recommend that you leave your linen to dry naturally. Do not use the tumble-drier as it will weaken the fibers and may cause shrinkage. Avoid drying in direct sunlight as it may cause sun damage and if possible lay it flat after pulling into shape.
After all, all things natural need a little bit of TLC

All our Linen fabrics are Certified with STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®
One of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety
