TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

This website is owned and operated by Avlen. We are a UK based company specialising in natural fabric home-ware and soft furnishings. We design and hand-make our own ready made products as well as work with customers fabrics providing all types of sewing services.  

Bespoke services

All bespoke orders require our customer to send in their own fabric and/or lining as we do not provide fabric for bespoke orders unless otherwise agreed with a client. All bespoke orders must be revised by our client before agreeing to process it as we are not reliable for any mistakes made by our client. Measurements, fabric and style choice should be double checked by our client before order is processed. Fabrics and /or linings sent in directly to us by a customer will be checked for quantity and quality and if fabric and/ or lining is faulty or quantity isn’t as agreed we reserve the right to put order on hold in order to contact the customer first. This may delay our lead time which is stated on our website. All products are made in the UK with careful precision and all sewing threads are chosen by us to our best ability to match customers fabric. We do not show our customers the colour of our threads and we reserve the rights to make the choice ourselves. All our products will contain our brand logo label sewn in. We will not be responsible for any fabric that does not reach our workshop and we recommend that tracked delivery service is used in case of a loss of parcel.

Readymade products:

All our ready-made products are sold as seen with detailed descriptions and photos to our best ability. We try to represent all our photos and their colours as best as we can however colours may vary between computer/ tablet/ phone screens which is out of our control. All products are individually handmade and may slightly vary in size and colour to one another. 

Photos and content:

Photos and content seen on our website are done and written by AVLEN and we reserve all rights.

Aftercare instructions for our linen products:

All ready-made products require special care therefore customers must strictly follow the aftercare which is instructed by AVLEN. Although linen is a durable and strong fabric it does need a gentle care. To maintain the strength and natural look of our linen products we recommend washing our linen as gently as possible at 30 degrees avoiding tumble drying and use of any strong detergents that may cause bleaching of the fabric. Our linen should not be dried in direct sunlight. Lay down flat and pull into shape to avoid stretching and creasing.

Delivery and returns:

At AVLEN we reserve the rights to change lead times and delivery services without notice however these will always be visible on our website. We offer free UK standard delivery on orders over £50 but reserve the rights to change this from time to time. Charges will apply for deliveries outside of the UK.  

RETURNS/EXCHANGES

We hope that you like your purchases however if you are not entirely happy with your ready-made product we will gladly accept returns for a full refund / exchange within 28 days from original payment date. Please note that we ask that a return form is filled out and enclosed in your return for proof of purchase. Return form will be provided by AVLEN on request via e-mail. 

RETURNS CONDITIONS

Please note we will only accept returns on ready-made products which are returned in new/unused condition and in its original packaging. Sadly we would not accept returns on bespoke made-to-measure products. If you return your purchase after the periods outlined above we reserve the right to refuse a refund. We guarantee high quality of our products which are individually handmade in our Kent based workshop, however if you believe your purchase has arrived faulty or not as described please contact us first to discuss your return / replacement.

Refund will be credited back to your original payment method. 

REFUND DELIVERY CHARGES

You will be entitled to a full refund, provided you meet the terms of this policy mentioned above. We are unable to provide a refund of the delivery charges for your returns unless items are faulty. We do not accept liability for any items that do not reach our workshop neither can we accept liability for any items that may be returned in error. We recommend that you return items via a recorded delivery service and retain the proof of postage. Please make sure all returns are well packaged to avoid any damage made during delivery transit.

Measuring:

Bespoke products are made in accordance with the measurements provided by our customer. Please follow the how to measure instructions available on our website. If you are unsure please e-mail us to discuss any uncertainty. We cannot accept returns for bespoke products incorrectly measured by our customer, although we would quote a price for any alterations required.
